December is just packed with fun! It seems like there isn't a day on my calendar that isn't filled with a party, program, or other fun Christmas activity!
We began our Christmas parties this weekend. On Friday, we had our Primary activity (sorry no photos), then Friday night, we had the Evans family Christmas party. The family is getting so big, that they now hold it in the Cultural Hall, at the church. For the last couple of years, we have had a Christmas of Service! Everyone comes, ready to work! There are stations, and you can pick which one you want to do. We tied quilts, sewed balls, and sanded wooden toys ... all for Humanitarian. Just a note about the photos: Aaron's Grandpa (who is
91) makes ALL of the toys by HAND!!! He can hardly walk or see, but he spends every spare moment in his workshop, designing, cutting out, sanding and putting together wooden trucks, trains, and toys. It really is amazing! He has lost track of how many he has made, but I am sure it is in the thousands! He was in the Church News a little while ago, but I couldn't find the article.
The kids got to play bingo, and Paris was so proud of her sewing skills!
We had a great time!
